PS4 Slim Repair

The following are some of the most typical PS4 Slim repair issues and solutions:

No Signal to the TV

The first place to look if you’re seeing a signal problem on your TV while connected to your console is your HDMI cable. Ensure that it is attached firmly to the gaming console and the television. If this is the case, you may have a broken HDMI port or an HDMI encoder chip that has to be replaced (this is the chip on the motherboard that processes the HDMI signal). We can repair even consoles that have been damaged by lightning.

Bug Infestations

Yes, much like the original PS4 and the PS4 Pro, the PS4 Slim can be infested with bugs. There is a power supply inside the gadget; it provides a dark, warm environment for the insects to set up shop. Sony will not repair consoles that have been infected with bugs, even if they are still covered by warranty.

Disc Drive / Blu Ray Drive

The PS4 Slim has the same issue with the rollers moving out of position as the original PS4. This is especially true if you frequently remove the discs from the drive, have children who accidentally insert objects into the drive, or live in an unclean, dusty environment. Additionally, the laser lens on these consoles might wear out, causing the optical drive to fail to read discs.

Overheating

PS4 Slim overheating issues have been over-exaggerated. Games may be played for long periods on these consoles because of their excellent cooling systems. Many people believe that if their PS4 fan is running at a higher and louder volume when playing certain games, it’s a sign that the console is overheating. It’s pretty normal for the fan to operate faster, louder, and at a higher volume because the device is cooling itself. If you have an overheating issue, you will see an error message on the screen, and the console will shut down. Broken fan or clogged heat sinks are the most common causes of overheating in most cases.

Turns On Then Back Off

The PS4 Slim has the same issues as the original PS4 with the Blue Light of Death, BLOD, Pulsing Blue Light, etc. After turning the console on, if the power button lights up with a steady blue pulse, then the APU on the motherboard is faulty and has to be replaced. There is no good solution when it comes to a lot of these circumstances. Reballing the APU (heating the APU, lifting it off the motherboard, melting new solder balls to it, then melting it onto the motherboard) might sometimes fix this problem, but it doesn’t always work. Most repair businesses, such as You Broke It, do not fix this issue because rebelling is quite tough unless you have a lot of experience.
